Material Pricing

Simple vs Advanced Pricing

Contractors Cloud offers two methods of pricing, Simple and Advanced.

Simple Pricing

Simple Pricing is pricing for the material regardless of options like color and size. When pricing is auto loaded into an estimate or order, and options are NOT provided, then simple pricing will be returned.

Company Events tab

For materials with a class of "Material", an additional Labor Cost column is included. This is the cost to install each unit of the material. This Labor Cost is used exclusively in Estimates with the mode set to "Material with Labor Mode".

Advanced Pricing

When pricing based on options is a concern, the Advanced pricing can be used. When pricing is auto loaded into an estimate or order, and options ARE provided, then advanced pricing for the corresponding options will be returned.

Price Lists

Supplier Price Lists

If materials, with a class of Material, are assigned to a Supplier, then the material pricing specific to that Supplier can be recorded. Supplier pricing is useful in displaying accurate pricing in Material Orders.

Installer Price Lists - If materials, with a class of Labor, are assigned to an Installer, then the material pricing specific to that Installer can be recorded. Installer pricing is useful in displaying accurate pricing in Work Orders.

Company Event Price Lists - Default pricing is taken from Event pricing. When estimating, suppliers and installers may not be known, therefore Event pricing provides near accurate pricing sufficient for estimating. Only active Events for active Companies will be available for pricing.

Editing Pricing

To edit pricing, simply enter a new price into the input.

With bulk edit pricing, a User can replace prices or alter prices with a percentage.
