Automation Overview

An automation is a customization that allows a User to "when this happens, do this".

The following models are currently supported.

• Material
• Material List

Automations for the above models can be applied to Estimate Items or Material Order Items. Any active automations for a model will fire simultaneously.

Material Automations

Material automations are used to automate Estimate Items and Material Order items.

Example, if "Remove and replace widgets" is used in an Estimate item, then import material list "Widget System" as Estimate Item Components only if the Estimate type is "Installed Materials".

Creating an Automation

Set the automation target along with a create or update.

Add an Action

Action Menu

Use the action menu to edit or delete an Automation Action or Automation Action Criteria.

Action Criteria

Action Criteria allow the User to design criteria that needs to be met in order for the Automation Action to execute.

Estimate Criteria

Estimate Criteria are estimate details or Trade Custom Fields that need to satisfied in order for the Automation Action to execute.
