Project Portal Overview

Project Portals allow your Company to share project information with non-Users, such as customers, consultants, and vendors. Project Portals are an option within your overall account.


Inviting Emails to a Portal

Portal invites are managed in Project Utilities, Project Portal. To invite an email address, click Grant Access.

Enter a valid email address and a first and last names if possible.

Scopes

  • Customer - Designed to provide basic project information to your customer.
  • Consultant - coming soon.
  • Installer - coming soon.
  • Supplier - coming soon.

Invite Email

The portal user will receive an email that will give them access to their portal.


Password-less Sign-In

The portal is accessed via a password-less system in which links are sent to the portal user's email.


Viewing the Portal

In order for a User to view the Project Portal, they must be added to the invite list.


Setting up a Portal

Portal setup options are available in Company Settings, Portals (permission required).


Sharing Items to the Portal

Here are the items that can be shared on a Portal.


Appointments

All appointments and orders will be visible on the calendar.


Notes

Project notes can be shared to the portal. Only user's with the permission "Can share project notes on the Customer Portal" can share notes to the portal.

Albums

Photos are shared through Project Albums. To share an album, set to Shared within the Album Details.


Proposals

Proposals are shared by enabling in the Settings section of the Proposal Builder.


Documents (Uploaded Files)

Uploaded files are shared by enabling in the File Details.


Invoices

All invoices, excluding Sales Orders, are listed within the Portal.
