Job Numbering

Custom Job Numbering is setup in Company Settings (permission required). This area allows you to manage and automate how your jobs/projects are numbered.

Auto Job Numbering

When ON, job numbers will automatically be assigned according to the following settings.

Job Number Prefix

Enter a set of letters if your job numbers start off with letters (i.e. LTR00001, the prefix would be LTR).

Next Job Number

Any number you enter here will be the next number that gets assign to a new project. As projects are created, this number will auto-increment up by 1.

SUGGESTION: It is good practice to setup a 5 digit number system with maybe the first two digits representing the year (i.e. 23001).

Create Job Number When

Job numbers are automatically created when either a Contract is created within the job or the Contract is Approved. If you have not enabled the "Contracts require manager approval" within the General Parameters set up, then keep this option as "Contract is Created".
