Estimate Custom Fields

Trade Custom Fields allow you to create custom data points that can be manually entered or entered automatically via a 3rd-party integration.

Trade Custom Fields can be used for anything, but are primarily used for gathering and storing measurement data. Those measurements can be converted to quantities within an estimate through the use of Material Conversions. Material Conversions are owned by a Material are managed in Settings, Materials (permission required).


Trade Custom Fields are created by trade and are managed in Settings, Trades (permission required). Once you have custom fields created, you need to map them to your materials. Go to your Materials Manager, pick a material, and click the Trades & Data Mapping tab. Not only is this where you associate a material with a trade, but also map the default quantity to a custom field. Once a custom fields is mapped to a material, the custom field value should now be the default estimate quantity for the material item when picked or imported via a list.
