Insurance Company Overview

An Insurance Company is a carrier you work with on insurance-restoration projects and claims — the company that issues the policy and pays the claim. Keeping carriers here lets you attach the right one to a project’s claim and reuse it across jobs.

Why it matters: maintaining your insurance companies in one place lets you attach the right carrier to a claim, keep adjuster and contact details handy, and see all the claims tied to a carrier.

Getting started

1. From the Insurance Companies list, click Add Insurance Company and enter a Company name (start typing to pull from the global insurance-company library).
2. Add the carrier’s Contacts (for example, the adjuster).
3. Attach the carrier to a project’s claim from within the project.

Company name (required), department, mailing address, phone, fax, website, status, and comments.

Contacts

The people at the carrier (adjusters, reps).

Files

Files specific to the carrier.

Claims

The claims associated with this insurance company.

Log/Notes

Notes related to the carrier. All changes are documented here.

Utilities

Where an insurance company is deleted.
