Mortgage Company Overview

A Mortgage Company is a lender attached to a project — common on insurance-restoration jobs, where the mortgage holder is named on the insurance check and must endorse it. Keeping lenders here lets you link them to the projects they’re involved in.

Why it matters: tracking the mortgage company on a project helps you manage the check-endorsement process and keeps the lender’s contact details in one place. The Projects section shows every job this lender is on.

Getting started

  1. From the Mortgage Companies list, click Add Mortgage Company and enter a Company name (start typing to reuse an existing lender).
  2. Add the lender’s Contacts.
  3. Link the mortgage company to a project from within the project.
