Material Lists

A Material List is a group of materials. Material Lists are used to import materials into estimates, works orders, material orders, and more.


Import Material Lists


This gives you access to the Contractors Cloud global material lists. When picked, the list with materials (including manufacturers, colors, sizes, and conversions) will be imported.


Adding or Edit a Material List


Click the green circle plus to add a new Material List. Click a list within the table to edit.



Details


Here are the high level details for the Material List.

List name (required)

The name of the list


Trade (required)

The root Trade for the Material List. This is used for filtering Material Lists. You can still add items from other trades into the list.


Estimate Type (required)

Determines what Materials can be used within the Material List.


Description (optional)

A description explaining what the Material List is and how it is used.


Status

Only active Material Lists can be used.


Events


These are the Events the Material List belongs to. See Events.




List Items


These are the Materials that constitute the Material List Items. See Materials.


Attributes Legend

  • Orange key - Per unit primary
  • $ - Has cost
  • S - Has size
  • P - Has photo
  • A - Has Assembly
  • C - Has color
  • V - Has Crew/Supplier
  • = - Has conversion
  • * - Has automation


Add Material List Item


Click the green circle plus sign to add a new Material to the Material List.


You can also add items in between other items.



Details


Item / Material (required)

Search for an existing Material or type in a custom item.


Default Color (optional)

This will be the default color, if applicable, of the Material upon import of the Material List.


Default Size (optional)

This will be the default size, if applicable, of the Material upon import of the Material List.


Default Conversion (optional)

This will be the default conversion, if applicable, of the Material upon import of the Material List.


Estimate Print Option (optional)

The estimate print setting when item is imported into an Estimate as an Estimate Item.



Edit a Material List Item, remove the Material List Item, or Material


Reorder Material List Items


Click the sort icon to reorder Material List Items.




Automations


These are the Automations that will be executed whenever this Material List is used.




Utilities


This is where a Material List is deleted or copied.
